Professional Women forWater and Sanitation Network (PW4WATSAN) is a registered network, established to empower, support and encourage the Professional, Career and Social development of women. in order to enhance their physical and social growth both at local and international levels this inline with AfWA congress realisation of the need to empower Women in the Water and Sanitation Sector.

This network has strengthened the role of women in the Water Sector as a whole. Skills to empower and sustain our network's objectives. The overall objective is to foster the role of women in water and sanitation management in NWSC and Uganda as a whole.

NETWORK SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

To promote knowledge and experience sharing and develop skills of women in various aspects related to water and sanitation.

To provide a platiform of mentorship for the young water professionals and girls in Schools and Water Sanitation Clubs (SWAS Clubs).

To promote and contribute to national and international initiatives and sanitation on matters of mutual interest and enhance collaboration and networking among members.

To raise the profile of women in management of water and sanitation.

To contribute to meaningful shifts in policy.

International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity

But one thing is for sure, International Women's Day has been occurring for well over a century and continue's to grow from strength to strength and as a women's network, we celebrate it.
